Senna leaves

Senna leaves

  • CONTAINS: senna – leaves
Leaves of the plant are used for constipation. Like other plants containing anthraquinone glycosides  the senna has a late effect (10-12 hours after taking the herb). It has a soothing, painless effect not followed by constipation. This allows use in case of constipation  in severely sick people, liver patients, as well as in case of haemorrhoids. With long-term use, the laxative effect is weakening.

    METHOD OF PREPARATION
Boil one tablespoon of the herb for 5 minutes in 250 ml of water. Drink it all at once, night before bedtime at best. Add honey to it if you wish.
